CELEBRATE THE INTERNATIONAL HELTH DAY WITH THE CONGA SMOOTHIE!
Shake the blender and your body! Saboooooooorrrrrr!

For the CONGA smoothie:

Pinneapple
1 Lemon
½ Melon
A bit of honey
A bit of ginger
Add all the ingredients to the blender.
Blend well.

PINNEAPLE is an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin; vitamin C. Vitamin C is required for the collagen synthesis in the body. Collagen is the main structural protein in the body required for maintaining the integrity of blood vessels, skin, organs, and bones.

LEMON acidic taste is because of citric acid, a natural preservative, aids in smooth digestion, and helps dissolve kidney stones. Lemons, like other fellow citrus fruits, are an excellent source of vitamin C; provides about 88% of daily recommended intake. Ascorbic acid is a powerful water soluble natural anti-oxidant.

GINGER root has been in use since ancient times for its anti-inflammatory, carminative, anti-flatulent, and anti-microbial properties. It contains health benefiting essential oils such as gingerol, Gingerols that helps improve the intestinal motility and have been anti-inflammatory, painkiller (analgesic), nerve soothing, anti-pyretic as well as anti-bacterial properties. Studies have shown that it may decrease nausea induced by motion sickness or pregnancy and helps relieve migraine headache and nausea.

HONEY can be a substitute of sugar in many food and drinks. It contains about 69% glucose and fructose, enabling it to be used as a sweetener that is better for your overall health than normal white sugar. According to the USDA, honey contains about 64 calories per tablespoon. Therefore, honey is used by many people as a source of energy. The carbohydrates in honey can be easily converted into glucose by even the most sensitive stomachs, since it is very easy for the body to digest this pure, natural substance. Commonly, honey contains Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron. If you check the vitamin and mineral content in regular sugar from any other source, you will find it to be completely absent or insignificant.
