Dreamsea Surf House Portugal offers the best opportunity to boost your surfing skills this winter and spring. Thanks to its privilege location, with different point breaks that works in different conditions, you will be able to gain a lot of experience and knowledge in different breaks and conditions, video analysis your technique, and improve your fitness level. Our packages include accommodation, surfing lessons, video analysis, surfing related activities, yoga lessons, full board and free use of all our equipment and facilities.

 

Dreamsea Surf Retreats are the best way to improve your surfing skills and take advantage of all the knowledge of our local surfing instructors that call this beaches and waves “home”.

SURF LESSONS

  • 15 hours surf lessons in the water per week
  • Our surf instructor will decide the best break depending on the conditions of each day
  • The small groups will be divided depending on your level/skills to have better feedbacks from your coach.
  • 1/4 coach/students + head coach
  • All the lessons will be filmed to have better feedbacks during the theory and video analysis.
  • During this week our coaches will teach you, depending on your skills:
    • how to read waves
    • how to take your line left or right
    • how to paddle into different breaks
    • improving your body stance / improving your foot stance
    • how to generate speed
    • improving your lines and your flow
    • how to do a bottom turn
    • how to do cutbacks
    • how to do floaters
    • how to do top turn
    • how to get barrelled and more
  • 5 hours of theory and video analysis per week, where you will learn about:
    • Description of the Portuguese coastline
    • Surf check
    • Different type of breaks
    • Advanced surf equipment
    • All the things seen during the lessons (body stance, generate speed…etc)
    • Video analysis, showing the good point and the mistakes, and explaining how to improve

BREAKS

CARCAVELOS: On of the Portuguese top surfing spots, Carcavelos is an awesome beach break suitable for all levels. Work best on swells coming from the SW, amazing lefts, and depending on the swell also good rights can appears.

 

PRAIA DA TORRE: On the other side of Carcavelos’ fort, you can find an awesome beach break with a long right on the right side of the beach, and a radical left on the other side. Mostly appears during the big winter swells of Carcavelos. It’s also really protected by the wind, that makes it a perfect spot during stormy days.

 

PRAIA DO MAGOITO: One of the western spots of Europe, this beach offer some really good waves breaking on top of some semi sand and rock banks. When it’s on, it’s rarely too crowded, and you will be able to ride a lot of waves.

 

PRAIA GRANDE: The main beach of Sintra area. A very versatile beach break where you can find a wide variety of waves, depending on tides and swells, mostly lefts, but also some rare right rides.

 

PRAIA PEQUENA: The little sister of Praia Grande. It’s also a versatile beach break, with really good shore breaks when the tire starts going up, and longer waves during lower tides.
